Governor George Ryan Dear Governor Ryan, Last Year the Illinois Coin Machine Operators Association put forward a proposal to put an additional $250 million into education without a tax increase. Their proposal would authorize and regulate video gaming in liquor pouring establishments across the state. Video gaming currently exists in six (6) states and in Illinois on riverboats. Their proposal would return the $250 million to the school district where it was generated, no tax increase, no formula, no gimmicks. In addition to funding education, video gaming would be a shot in the arm to over 16,000 small businesses across the state. Small business provides jobs and generates tax revenues for the local economy in your district. Please,
